The remote access to Critical Infrastructures and his protection is one of the most unknown subject for most people, including IT professionals, however it’s a key part of National Security and Resilience during Crisis as we are living with the Covid19.

The remote unauthorized access to the Industrial Control System in the city of Oldsmar, Florida, permitted to the attacker modify the levels of chemicals, raising the levels of lye in the water from 100 to 11,100 parts per million. Anything more than 10,000 can lead to “difficulty swallowing, nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain, and potentially even damage to the gastrointestinal tract.

Still under investigation and we don’t know if we are confronting a terrorist attack, criminal activity or some lamer without brain.
